Covered Notebooks for the BOYS!

First off, I apologize for being a little MIA this week.  Sometimes life just takes over and blogging gets out on the back burner.  But I promise, I am here, and I am crafting!  I even have Grandma helping finish up some projects too!

My older sons are constantly complaining that I never make them anything.  Boys are hard.  It's not like I can whip them up something cute for their hair or make them a fun new skirt.  They are 8 and almost 11.  They don't like 'cute' things like Miss K does.

A few months back, I made some fabric covered notebooks for me and Miss K and then helped a Young Women group at church to make some too.

So when a friend suggested I get some kind of "journal" for my boys, I knew exactly what I could do.  Of course they wouldn't want flowers or anything pretty.  So I made them plain and added their initials cut out of felt.  This was all done with my glue gun!   Absolutely no sewing at all!

Great idea! It IS hard coming up with things for boys. I try to do at least a craft or two a week with mine, but it'd be a lot easier if I could use pink or flowers. lol I bet they loved the journals!
