Now here's Crystal! Please show her some Luv!
Hi Everyone! I am so excited to blog swap with Joy today. I just love her cute blog and great craft ideas.
I am Crystal from Crystal's Craft Spot. Its my little spot to share my current craft projects, tutorials, recipes, and ideas I want to use in the future. I also started a craft challenge every Wednesday and Feature yourself Friday that I would love for you to join. I try to post something new almost everyday and I enjoy a variety of crafts. It is my way to relax and take a break from a busy day. Here's a little more about me:
Here are some of my favorite projects you will find on my blog: Family Motto, Easy Wall Art, fabric high chair, My bedroom furniture , Sweet Baby Plates, and Pink Desk Makeover
Today I thought I would show you how to make a fun Holiday frame that you can easily leave up all year by simply swapping out the embellishments and the picture.
I started out with a plain wood frame. You can find these at any craft store pretty cheap.
Pick a Pattern Paper (I went with black polka dots because it matches my house but any color would work.) Lay your paper face down and your frame face down on top of it. Trace around your frame and openings.
Cut out your paper
Paint the edges of your frame and let it dry
Apply mod podge to your frame
Place your paper on top and add another coat of mod podge. Smooth out all of the bubbles. Let it dry
Cut out 3 circles from one from one color or fabric and 3 smaller circles to put in the center of a different color to make your flowers. (they don't have to be the same size).
Mod podge your circle flowers to a piece of cardstock and cut them out.
Place 3 magnets on your frame in the area you want your flowers. I added a pop dot behind one to add height to one of them.
Place a magnet on the back of your flowers and add stick them to your frame.
Sand the edges (optional). Add your picture and your done. My frame had a small opening so I printed out some text on cardstock and also attached it with magnets.

Halloween is over simply switch your picture and your flowers for a new look. You can add any type of embellishments you want. Pumpkins for Halloween, Hearts for Valentines, snowflakes for winter or just change the color of your flower to match your home (like my red one).
Come by Crystal's Craft Spot anytime for more crafts and tutorial. Thanks again for letting me stop by. Its been a lot of fun!
Thanks for sharing Crystal, I am headed out to find me a fun frame!
